Electric forklift is a forklift truck powered by an electric motor instead of an internal combustion (IC) engine using either rechargeable industrial batteries or external ways of conveying power (wire, rail, etc.).

The vertical distance from the floor to the load carrying surface adjacent to the heel of the forks with mast vertical, and in the case of reach trucks, with the forks extended.
